Houston at Kansas City

Kansas City pulled out a win over the Astros on Monday when Salvador Perez hit a two-out single to drive in the go-ahead runs in the eighth inning, but Houston still has won seven of the past nine meetings with the Royals, who are in last place in the AL Central. The Astros still are 33-25 on the road and 66-31 their past 97 games versus AL Central teams. The Royals are 18-53 against the AL West, and they have lost 13 of 19 in the second game of a series. Framber Valdez is 8-3 with a 3.09 ERA for Houston, which has won three of his last four starts, including 5-1 over Colorado on Wednesday when he allowed one run on four hits in six innings.
