Houston at Detroit

Houston held on for a 5-4 win over the Tigers on Tuesday and it goes for the sweep with Gerrit Cole on the mound today. The first-place Astros are a phenomenal 51-22 on the road while Detroit's best hopes are to finish third in the AL Central. The Tigers have lost three in a row and 49 of their last 72 overall and they are 16-38 their last 54 games versus right-handed starters. Also, the Tigers have lost 40 of their last 54 against AL West teams. The Astros have won 21 of Cole's last 29 starts and nine of his last 10 against teams with losing records. In addition, Houston is 8-1 its last nine games against left-handed starters. Cole is 6-3 with a 2.81 ERA and .208 opponent batting average on the road this season and he has faced Detroit once this year and gave up a run on three hits in 5 2/3 innings. Daniel Norris is 0-3 with a 5.47 ERA and recently came off the disabled list. Take the Astros.
