Houston has won six of its last nine after a slow start. The astros are also a talented young team that won 86 games a year ago. Houston's offense is #13 in baseball in slugging and has its ace going in southpaw Dallas Keuchel. Keuchel is a stopper, with the team 22-7 following a loss in their previous game. He's also a lefty, facing a Boston lineup loaded with lefty hitters. The Red Sox are wowing bettors with their offensive explosion this week, but getting overvalued against an ace here. Boston trots out potential ace David Price, but the high priced signing has been closer to a bust with an embarrassing 6.75 ERA. Price has been rocked for six runs in each of his last two starts and has surrendered at least five earned runs in four of his seven starts. Three of those poor outings came at home, where he has an 8.34 ERA in front of his new fans, who aren't known for patience. Even more alarming is that his velocity has been down as he has reached age 30. He's allowed six, six, two and eight runs his last four starts (22 runs in 23+ innings). Batters are hitting .297 off him at Fenway Park this season, where he's allowed all four of his homers. Back Houston.
