Houston at Boston

The Boston Red Sox will open a three-game series vs. the Houston Astros at Fenway Park. Boston has redeemed three straight losses with five straight wins. The Astros have been playing well also with six wins in their last eight contests. Houston will send Framber Valdez to the mound, and they have now gone 9-4 over his last 13 starts. He has started to figure things out, and opponents have scored two runs or fewer in five of his last seven outings. Boston will go with Martin Perez, who has been a .500 pitcher for his career, but even worse for the Red Sox as the Sox are just 10-13 in his 23 starts. I like the edge on the hill here in a game that has pretty much a toss-up line. Make the play on Houston.
