Detroit redeemed itself after blowing a three-run lead in the ninth inning on Friday as the Tigers bounced back to beat the first-place Rays 4-3 on Saturday. Detroit built a 4-0 lead featuring homers by Jeimer Candelario and Dustin Garneau, then went hitless in the final seven innings, but they still held on for the victory. The Tigers have won six of their past nine games while the Rays have lost six of 10, and Wily Peralta will start today for Detroit. He has been a pleasant surprise this season, and he comes off six shutout innings on two hits against Milwaukee on Tuesday. Shane McClanahan (back) has been activated from the 10-day injury list and is scheduled to start for Tampa Bay. Detroit has been one of the biggest moneymakers in MLB this year. Play the Tigers.
