Suddenly the St. Louis Cardinals are in position to win it all this year. Jeff Suppan looks to help them take a 3-1 lead. Right now I like his chances given how well St. Louis' pitching staff continues to perform. Suppan took home the NLCS MVP award posting a 0.60 ERA in two starts against the mighty Mets. With another game like those two, the Tigers won't have much of a chance. Overall Suppan was 8-3 with a 3.07 ERA at home this season. Jeremy Bonderman was very good on the road this season with similar stats; thus the virtually even money line on this game. But right now the Cardinals have the momentum and confidence and Detroit has to be a bit shaky. As good as the Tigers have been this season, they are still just 15-21 vs. good bullpens (WHIP under 1.350) and St. Louis' pen has been able to hold the leads they get. Small edge to the Cards tonight and I like Suppan at home for even money.
