Detroit at Seattle

Detroit just keeps getting worse, and it is now 30-70 on the season. The Tigers have lost the last six meetings with Seattle following Saturday's 8-1 defeat when the Mariners banged out 16 hits and Ryan Court drove in three runs in his first big league start. The Mariners are on a four-game winning streak, mostly thanks to the pathetic Tigers, who have lost 16 of the last 21 meetings. Also, Detroit has lost 50 of its last 62 overall and 69 of its last 99 road contests. In addition, the Tigers have lost eight of Matthew Boyd's last nine starts and 23 of his last 32 road starts. Detroit's weak lineup hasn't given Boyd much run support, and that will be no different today. Boyd gave up five runs on nine hits in 12 innings versus Seattle in 2018. Play the Mariners.
