Detroit at Seattle

The Detroit Tigers have limped to a 7-9 start out of the gate. Although they are 3-0 in Max Scherzer's first three starts, a pair of those wins came at home. In the three games, his ERA is a less than spectacular 4.76. Scherzer has led the Tigers to a 4-11 mark in his last 15 road starts and that includes 0-7 vs. a team with a losing record. Despite a slip against Cleveland, dating back to last season Vargas has allowed 1 run or less in three of his last four starts. He finished the 2010 season with an impressive 3.72 ERA allowing less hits than innings pitched. I like Seattle in this one who have beaten the Tigers four of the last five played here.
