Detroit at Pittsburgh

Detroit started 5-0 this season, but lack of hitting caused the Tigers to lose two of three to Oakland. Reese Olson will make his second start for the Tigers after pitching five-plus shutout innings on three hits in a 5-0 win over the Mets last Monday. Pittsburgh will be seeing him for the first time and the Pirates will go with Mitch Keller, who has made four starts against Detroit with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP in those games. Keller is 1-9 at home in interleague games. Olson pitched well his rookie season in 2023 finishing with a .215 opponent batting average. Detroit's bullpen has been stellar so far this year.
