Detroit at Oakland

Detroit still has a shot to finish in second place in the AL Central, which would mean something to a team that has been rebuilding for six years. Eduardo Rodriguez is 11-9 with a 1.17 WHIP overall and he is 7-5 with a 3.59 ERA and .239 opponent batting average on the road. The Tigers don't want to lose three straight to the lowly Athletics and they have won six of Rodriguez's past eight road starts. Oakland still is just 26-54 at home and has lost eight of 10 overall and will start JP Sears, who is 5-12 with a 4.52 ERA overall and 2-6 and 4.88 at home. Detroit is .500 on the road this season compared to 32-43 at home. The Athletics continue to have one of the worst bullpens in the majors with a 5.21 ERA and 1.51 WHIP. Take the Tigers.
