The ALDS has come down to a final game five, and the Oakland A's get to host it tonight. The Tigers managed just 3 runs in the first two games played here in Oakland, and it is evident that Miguel Cabrera is not healthy. Cabrera has gone 13 games without an extra base hit. Sonny Gray was outstanding in his only start in this series as he shutout the Tigers on 4 hits, while fanning 9. This will be an all hands on deck, with Colon and Scherzer both ready to pitch in if necessary. Justin Verlander has lost a bit off his fast ball, and although he pitched well in this series, the Tigers are a brutal 1-10 in his last 11 starts. The only win came when he was on extra rest, which won't be the case tonight. Oakland has been at its best all season against right-handed pitching where they are an impressive 65-27 in their last 92 facing them. The A's have won five straight starts by Gray, and have the edge here at home. Take Oakland.
