The Detroit Tigers were supposed to run away with the soft AL Central, but at 16-15 their first 31 games have been full of disappointment. The Tigers have solid pitching and their explosive offense was considered the tops in the league, but they have scored 3 runs or less in more than half of their games. The A's lineup isn't why they are treading water, sitting at the .500 mark, it is the pitching. Inconsistent hitting has led them to a 13-3 mark to the UNDER in their last 16 in a game following one in which they scored 5 or more runs. Right-hand pitching has stalled a pedestrian lineup and the result is a 19-6-2 mark in their last 27 when facing one. The Tigers have followed a win by going 12-1 to the UNDER, and their last six on the road vs. a left-hander shows them at 6-0 to the UNDER. The last 17 in Oakland have produced an 11-5-1 mark to the UNDER between these clubs as well. Play the UNDER.
