The Detroit Tigers are scoring just 4.1 runs per game. On the road, they are managing an awful 3.5 per game on .235 hitting. And, it's not getting any better. Over their last seven games overall, this team has averaged 3.0 runs per game. Max Scherzer doesn't inspire a lot of confidence given he is 1-3 with a 6.32 ERA. For a team to be favored with those numbers doesn't make much sense. Bartolo Colon owns better numbers with a 2.83 ERA and the A's bullpen has also been very good this season (2.73 ERA). When facing a good bullpen this season (ERA under 3.8), Detroit is just 6-12. With Jim Leyland at the helm, the Tigers are just 25-37 on the road in expected low-scoring games (totals under 8). I like the home dog here. Play on Oakland.
