The Detroit Tigers were supposed to have locked things up by this time of the season. When you can run out the last three Cy Young Award winners in your rotation, and have a powerful lineup, it should be over by now, but it isn't. The Tigers still have work to do. David Price will take the mound tonight, and he has a strong track record vs. Minnesota where he is 4-2 lifetime, and his last time out against them he delivered eight strong innings of shutout baseball on just four hits. Kyle Gibson appears to be hitting the wall as his winless streak has reached five straight starts, as his ERA has risen to 4.58 on the season. The last time out vs. the Tigers, he did not get out of the fifth inning. The Tigers are now 37-15 as road chalk from -151 to -200, and the Twins are an ugly 32-86 in their last 118 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15. Make the play on Detroit.
