The Detroit Tigers have not lived up to their billing this season. They have the last three Cy Young award winners in their rotation, have a deep and dangerous lineup, yet they are in a dog fight in the AL Central. Once upon a time the Tigers were 12-4 when Ricky Porcello took the ball, but they are just 4-9 since as the innings have mounted for him this season. The 189.2 innings of work this season is a new career high, and he may be hitting the wall. He has not been very effective pitching to low totals as the Tigers are just 2-7 in his last nine starts to a total from 7 to 8.5. The Tigers have won four straight, but have allowed 14 runs in their last three. The pen is a weakness, and Porcello has not been as effective in the second half vs. the girst. Take Minnesota.
