Detroit at Minnesota

Detroit has won the first two games of the series following a 7-1 victory on Friday when Javier Baez hit a three-run homer and Matt Vierling had two solo shots. Minnesota is in first place in the AL Central despite a .500 record and the Twins have lost six of ten. The Tigers are hoping to get five innings from Joey Wentz before they go the bullpen and that has been the bright spot for Detroit this season. Wentz allowed two runs on one hit in 4 1/3 innings against Arizona on Sunday. Jose De Leon will start a bullpen game for Minnesota and likely will go one or two innings. The Tigers have won the past four meetings dating to last season and they have won 19 of 27 versus AL Central opponents. Minnesota doesn't often capitalize on weaker pitchers as the Twins are 7-20 against a starter with a WHIP of more than 1.30. Take the Tigers as a Max Play.
