Detroit at Minnesota

Detroit has been a streaky team lately, and the Tigers lost their fourth straight, 6-5, on Monday night. They now are 16-36 the past 52 meetings with the Twins, including 6-21 at Minnesota. The Tigers are 43-102 their past 145 games versus AL Central teams and 37-86 overall as road underdogs. Kenta Maeda has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last four starts, and he has allowed five runs on 12 hits in 16 innings against Detroit this year. Maeda has a 2.81 ERA in five home games, and July has been his best month overall with a 2.35 ERA and a .173 opponent batting average in four starts. Tyler Alexander will start for the Tigers, but it will essentially be a bullpen game for them. Take the Twins.
