Detroit at Kansas City

The Detroit Tigers have the AL Central under wraps and it showed last night as they were a no-show in a 10-2 loss to the Royals. Kansas City has played its best baseball of the season down the stretch where they are 8-1 over their last nine games. The Royals have worked their way up to the .500 mark at home and a win here ensures a .500 or better finish at home, giving them something to build on for next year. Max Scherzer has not pitched well for the Tigers down the stretch where he has pitched to a 4.89 ERA in his last nine starts and the Tigers are just 3-9 in his last 12 starts as a favorite of -1120 to -150.
