The Detroit Tigers may have the best balance in the AL and will be a dangerous team in the playoffs. It looked for a while that they may not even be there, but caught fire late and played 49-32 over the second half of the season. I think this is an important game for them as they don't want to lose that momentum and go into the playoffs on a two-game losing streak. They have beaten the Royals in five out of six down the stretch. The Royals’ pitching hasn't been pretty down the stretch, as they have allowed 7 runs per game in their last 10, winning just 2 of them. Play on Detroit in this one.
