Detroit at Kansas City

Max Scherzer will make his debut with the Tigers, as well as the American League, tonight in Kansas City. Scherzer really lost confidence down the stretch, leading to six of his last eight falling to the loss column. Tigers haven't played well in expected high scoring games at just 7-16 in their last 23 with a posted total of 9-10.5. The Royals have been a pest to the Tigers and have now won six of the last eight meetings between these clubs, and I like them in this one. Kansas City gets the call.
