Detroit at Houston

The Tigers have made a nice run as they have now won seven straight games. What doesn't show up is the last six of those were at home where they have been good all year, but in their previous seven on the road they are just 2-5. Wandy Rodriguez has given Houston a chance to win all season long when he takes the hill and the Astros are 6-2 in his last eight starts as a home dog, pretty solid with dog odds. The Tigers have been one of the top interleague teams in the last several years, but on the road in their last five they have come away with just one win. Justin Verlander was on a tear for eight starts, but those don't last forever,and in his last two he has been at a 5.40 ERA, so he has settled back down to Earth. Rodriguez has given up one run or less in six of his seven home starts and that gives us a live dog here. Going with Houston in this one.
