The Tigers' win yesterday increased their Wild Card lead to four games over Cleveland, and they still have a slim half game lead over Seattle, and are also just a half game behind Kansas City in the AL Central. That means that every game is important for the Tigers who simply have too much talent to fold down the stretch. Kyle Lobstein delivered a gem in his first MLB start last time out, allowing 1 earned run over 6 frames. Carlos Carrasco has been brilliant of late, but his career numbers against the Tigers are brutally bad. Carrasco has faced the Tigers 10 times over his career, five of which were starts, but has never solved them, pitching to a woeful 8.04 ERA. The Tigers have gotten the better of good pitching, logging a 20-8 mark in their last 28 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15. Play on Detroit in this one.
