The White Sox got a huge win here last night, taking down the Tigers 6-1 to extend their lead to three games over the Tigers in the AL Central. It certainly looks as if the loser of this division will be left on the outside looking in come playoffs time. The White Sox have the momentum, and a chance to deal the death blow to the Tigers tonight. They have a good shot behind a pitcher in Jake Peavy who has finally reclaimed his stuff after years of injuries. Peavy has allowed 3 runs or less in seven of his last eight starts. The Tigers go with Doug Fister who has come up short for the Tigers in anticipated pitching duels, as they are 1-7 in his last eight starts to a posted total of 7 to 8.5.
