The Red Sox have faced an injury-plagued season, and this once dominate home team is feeling the effects, as they are now 1-5 in their last six at Fenway. Diasuke Matsuzaka has walked 43 in 83 innings, and continues to have command issues. The Tigers' patience with Max Scherzer is paying off, as he is pitching to a 1.99 ERA in his last seven, allowing less than four hits per start during the stretch. The Tigers took the opener, despite an Ortiz's grand slam in the ninth to make a game out of what was a 6-1 Tigers lead going to the ninth last night. The Sox are reeling right now, and Sherzer has been hot. I'll go with Detroit in this one.
