Boston took two out of three from the Yankees to move back to the .500 mark for the season. They will send Clay Buchholz to the mound to tonight, who has been much better in recent starts. Buchholz, over his last eight starts, has an ERA of 2.47 and the Sox have won seven of his last nine starts. Max Scherzer, despite having an average of a 4.46 ERA the last two years, is 24-15, so he certainly has the look of a better pitcher than he is by far. Boston is now 31-8 behind Bchholz if he pitched a quality start in his last outing and 12-1 when he starts at Fenway as a home favorite of -110 to -150. The Tigers have not fared well vs. the Red Sox over the years now at 24-49 in the last 73 meetings. Play on Boston.
