No Puljos but St. Louis does still have Chris Carpenter. The NL Cy Young winner takes the mound today as the Cards go for the sweep. Carpenter has a 2.57 ERA this season (1.85 at home) and faces off against Josh Fogg who is 1-8 with a 7.11 ERA against St. Louis. He's gotten tagged lately posting a 6.48 ERA over his last three starts. Colorado is 16-51 the last three seasons on the road after two straight losses so avoiding the sweep will be tough for them here. They also historically struggle against great pitchers like Carpenter. The Rocks are 4-12 on the road vs. a pitcher with a 1.250 or better WHIP over the past two season (Carpenter: 1.247). St. Louis has one of the better bullpens in the league to back up Carpenter, too. St. Louis for the sweep.
