Colorado at St. Louis

St. Louis defeated Houston 4-2 on Wednesday when Nolan Arenado homered to back Miles Mikolas, who held the Astros to two runs in six innings. Sonny Gray will try to match that effort tonight against Colorado and he is 7-3 with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. The Cardinals have won seven of his 10 starts and Gray has been nearly flawless at home where he has a 0.93 ERA and a .167 opponent batting average. St. Louis has won its past five home games and the Rockies are 8-23 on the road this season and 10-44 dating to 2023. The Rockies have won only 10 of 59 road games versus teams with winning home records. Colorado's has the worst bullpen in the majors with a 5.24 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP. Cal Quantrill has been one of the Rockies' better pitchers with a 1.29 WHIP, but they are 5-7 in his appearances. The UNDER is 6-1 when Quantrill starts after the Rockies allowed at least five runs their previous game.
