The Cardinals didn't help their cause in a three- game home series vs. NL central leader Milwaukee. That leaves them four games out, and could have a bit of a hangover here facing the lowly Rockies. Kyle Lohse may not be up to par as he has been dealing with a strain in his right middle finger. Although they are above .500 for the season, the Cards are just a breakeven 11-11 with Lohse on the hill, and he has a losing record at home. Aaron Cook is trying to pitch himself back into form and may be on his way, looking good in his last three outings, pitching to a 3.06 ERA in the process. The Rockies have played inspired baseball in series openers where they are 11-5 in their last 16. The Cards have been brutal behind Lohse as a -110 to -150 home favorite, sitting at 1-9 in their last 10. I'll back Colorado in this one.
