Colorado at San Francisco

Colorado is off to a terrible start this season with a 3-10 record and its pitching and hitting have taken turns at being the problem. The Rockies have scored one run over their last two games following Thursday's 1-0 defeat at San Francisco. They also managed just three hits and wasted a good effort from Jon Gray in losing their sixth in a row. The Giants have split their last six games, but they have gotten great pitching recently, allowing only five runs their last three games. Chad Bettis has been a disaster so far as he has been pounded for 12 runs (11 earned) on 14 hits in only 8 1/3 innings and Colorado has lost his two starts by a combined score of 19-7. Drew Pomeranz has given up four runs in nine innings with 11 strikeouts. The Rockies have lost 13 of their last 16 dating to last season and they are 2-7 the last nine meetings at San Francisco.
