Colorado at San Diego

San Diego is not messing around this season and last night was a good example as the Padres gave up three runs in the top of the first, then came back with 10 runs in their first two innings and defeated the Rockies 14-5. The win improved their home record to 14-6. Wil Myers homered twice, including a grand slam, and newly-acquired Mike Clevinger got the win. It was the third win in a row for San Diego while Colorado has lost 13 of its last 20 games after a strong start to the season. Zach Davies will start for the Padres and he owns a 6-2 record and 2.23 ERA and he comes off seven scoreless innings in a 7-0 victory over Oakland. The right-hander has allowed only two runs in 13 2/3 innings at home and he is 6-1 with a 1.87 ERA in night games this year. Colorado is 18-41 as a road underdog dating back to last season, and it has lost 40 of its last 59 road games overall. Play the Padres.
