This is a tough situational spot for a Colorado squad that has packed in the season, on a 4-13 run. Those losses have been by 2, 2, 4, 5, 5, 3, 9, 2, 4, 11, 3, 4 and 2 runs! Colorado is on an 8-20 run and stuck with Chris Rusin (4.97 ERA), who got rocked by the New York Mets for 11 runs on 12 hits in two-plus innings his last outing. The Rockies are 0-7 in his last seven road starts. The Rockies are also 18-37 against a left-handed starter and face southpaw J.A. Happ, who has won his last two starts and permitted one run in 17+ innings during the past three. Happ has made four appearances (three starts) versus the Rockies with a 1.93 ERA. The Pirates are on a 38-13 run at home, #13 in baseball in runs scored, and #8 in on-base percentage. Pittsburgh improved to 20-4 against the West after Friday's 5-3 victory, putting Colorado 0-6 here in Pittsburgh, and will have no trouble rolling again.
