It’s hard to pass up the runline here as the Rockies are a .400 baseball team this season. The Rockies are a team that has been built for their home park and often struggle on the road, and has already been shutout three times on the road this season. The odds makers have given Jimenez the pitching edge here, but when you look at the numbers, it certainly paints a different picture. Jimenez has pitched the Rockies to a 7-19 record in his last 26 road starts, and even worse at 2-10 against .400 or less teams. Flip that around and the Astros are 21-6 against teams with a losing record in their last 27. So here we are getting a run and a half with the kind of odds in hand that the numbers spit out is value-laden, so I'm playing the Astros on the runline.
