Colorado is attempting to snap an eight-game losing streak, but the Rockies have won five of the nine meetings with the Diamondbacks so far this season. Jon Gray will make his first start since April 13 as he comes off the disabled list due to a foot injury. Robbie Ray is 8-3, but Colorado hitters have a collective .339 batting average and .994 OPS against him and Ray actually has pitched better on the road where he has a 1.32 ERA compared to 4.47 at home. Arizona dropped its last two games against St. Louis and the Diamondbacks have lost four of Ray's last five starts against the Rockies. Colorado had the day off yesterday and the Rockies have won 19 of their last 26 when following an off day. Also, Colorado is second in the majors with a .765 OPS against left-handers.
