Cleveland is on a remarkable run, but this is its ninth straight road game. The pitching staff got burned up last night in a wild 2-1, 19-inning marathon. And the Indians are 2-8 when their opponent allows two runs or less in their previous game. Indians' manager Terry Francona may have to turn to Shawn Morimando, up from Akron, after using seven relievers on Friday, including today's scheduled starter. The Tribe planned on handing the ball to righty Trevor Bauer, but the starter was called out of the pen when Friday's game reached the 15th inning, tossing five innings. Toronto has a strong offense, #10 in runs scored and slugging, despite getting just one run in 19 innings last night. The Blue Jays are 11-5 following a loss, plus 40-18 when their opponent scores two runs or less in their previous game.
