Cleveland at Tampa Bay

Not many think of the Tampa Bay Rays when you think of the top team in baseball, and the toughest team to take down at home, but the Rays are all of the above. The Rays are now 122-56 in their last 178 home games, best in the majors in the time frame. The Rays are pounding left-hand pitching at 9-1 in their last 10, and at home vs. a losing team they are a lights-out 42-14. The best will be facing a situational worst here as Cleveland is a punch-drunk 9-28 in their last 37 on the road and 13-40 in their last 53 as a dog. The oddsmakers struggle to make the Rays chalky enough, but the evidence they have served in their last 178 at home, playing the worst of the road rusty, makes the -250 here look small. I'll go with Tampa Bay in this one.
