I look hard each day for good home dogs and I think I found one here in Seattle. Seattle snapped a four game skid behind the arm of Joel Pineiro. Today they look to Jarrod Washburn to pull off the unlikely series win against the mighty Indians. I lke their chances as Washburn has a 2.01 home ERA while his counterpart, CC Sabathia got shelled in his single road start surrendering three earned runs in less than three innings against the White Sox on April 2nd. Road teams allowing 5.2 or more runs/game on the season are just 47-86 (35%) in May games over the last 5 seasons while home teams scoring under 4.5 runs/game against a team with a below avg. bullpen (ERA 4.50 or higher are 55-31 (64%) in May games over the same span. Mariners here.
