Cleveland at Minnesota

A couple of left-handers were recalled from the minors to pitch the first game of a split doubleheader as Ryan Merritt will face Adam Wilk. Merritt was 6-5 with a 3.96 ERA at Triple-A Columbus and he might be remembered for 4 1/3 scoreless innings against Toronto in Game 5 of last year's ALCS. Wilk will make his first start for the Twins and he has already faced the Indians, allowing two runs on three hits in 3 1/3 innings while pitching in relief. Cleveland has won five straight at Minnesota and four of the last five meetings overall. Also, five of the last six at Target Field have gone UNDER. The Indians are also 11-3 overall the last 14 meetings and they are 19-6-2 UNDER their last 27 road contests. Minnesota has stayed UNDER its last three games.
