Cleveland at Minnesota

It has become obvious that Minnesota was playing way over its head the first half of the season when it compiled a double-digit lead over the second-place Indians, who have climbed within a game of the Twins in the AL Central. Cleveland improved to 31-22 on the road with a 7-5 victory on Thursday as it held on after the Twins rallied and then threatened in the ninth. Now the Twins have to face Shane Bieber, who is 11-4 and the Tribe has won six of his last seven starts. Bieber has allowed only four runs over his last three outings, covering 25 innings and including two complete games. He has given up six runs in 15 1/3 innings versus the Twins this year. Devin Smeltzer will make his fourth start and in one of them he allowed five runs in 6 1/3 innings against the Indians. Cleveland has also won 16 of Bieber's last 21 road starts. Take the Indians.
