For the second year in a row, Cleveland ruled April. After that, they have fallen off the charts. The Tribe are just 3-9 in their last 12 games, and will lose over 90 games this season. Justin Masterson was once the Tribe's best option on the mound, but has allowed 6 runs or more in nine starts on the season. Five of those have come in his last 10 starts. Luis Mendoza has been a lot more consistent on the mound of late, allowing 3 runs or less in 10 of his last 14 starts, certainly giving the Royals an upside edge on the mound here. The Tribe's road woes vs. right-handed pitching are well documented as they are 5-22 in their last 27 against them. The Royals have played their best baseball within the division where they own a 19-7 mark in their last 26, including five straight vs. the Indians. Play on Kansas City.
