Cleveland at Detroit

The Tribe was beaten up in New York by the Yankees, but managed to squeeze out a 1-0 win in the series finale to change the mindset heading into Detroit. The Tigers needed an extra frame to slip past Tampa Bay. Now after their 8-1 run, they Tigers have cooled down considerably at 3-3 in their last six. The Tribe has been great behind Masterson when he’s off a good start, as they are 8-3 when he takes the hill when coming off a quality start his last time out. The Tigers are just 1-4 following a game where they allowed 2 runs or less, and Verlander in that exact same situation, has pitched the Tigers into a hole at 2-5 in his last seven.
