The Chicago White Sox weathered a 3-10 run and have played at a much higher level since, having now pushed themselves to two games over the .500 mark. This team is 21-12 outside the 13 game slide, certainly better than the record would indicate. They have won seven of their last eight, one of those was a seven inning shutout by Jake Peavy. Peavy, before injuries, was one of the top pitchers in baseball. He appears to be back in form, off to a 5-1 start with a nifty 2.39 ERA. More improtantly the Sox are 4-0 when Peavy takes the ball vs. a winning team. The Indians are mostly the product of a soft schedule and their last 28 games vs. a team with a winning record show them at 9-19. Play on Chicago.
