The Cleveland Indians pounded the Red Sox’s pitching last night for 9 runs in a 9-6 win at Fenway. They will present the Sox lineup with David Huff, who did not pitch since August of last year, but a new team and a fresh approach has led to a terrific start in a Tribe uniform. He’s sporting a 0.71 ERA in over 12 innings in his first two starts. Josh Beckett was on an unsustainable pace, and over his last six starts his ERA is almost a full run higher than his current ERA. He still is a respected pitcher and having a good season. The Indians have done recent damage to elite pitchers with a 4-1 mark in their last five vs. a pitcher with a WHIP below 1.15, and overall they have cashed seven of their last 10 vs. a winning team. The Indians have given the Sox fits as they are winners of five of the last seven meetings. This one goes to the Tribe on the runline.
