Cleveland discovered what it's like to face to a team that doesn't chase pitches, and it totally riled its pitchers, who threw five wild pitches and walked nine batters as the Yankees won 5-2. It won't get any better for the Guardians in Game 2 as now they are up against Gerrit Cole, who has allowed only five earned runs his past four starts.
