Cleveland at Boston

Boston got back on track following a rough weekend against Toronto and the Red Sox got a 3-1 victory over Cleveland on Monday when Alex Verdugo hit a tiebreaking double in the sixth. Josh Winckowski will make his eighth start this season and he has allowed more than three runs just twice and has generally given the Red Sox five or six solid innings. Boston has won eight straight versus AL Central teams and the Red Sox are 12-3 their past 15 games after giving up two or fewer runs their previous game. The Guardians have lost 10 or their past 13 road games and they are 3-7 overall following a loss. Cleveland is planning on a bullpen game with Bryan Shaw probably starting the game and going one or two innings. The Guardians have lost six of seven versus the AL East.
