Cincinnati at Washington

The Cincinnati Reds are projecting to be sellers before the trade deadline. They have a lot of players that could garner some interest, including tonight's starter Johny Cueto. he has a tough chore tonight as he faces baseball's hottest pitcher in Max Scherzer. Scherzer has some gaudy numbers on the season, as he looks for his 10th win, and owns a 1.82 ERA on the season. Cueto certainly has not been at his best vs. Washington as he owns a 4.06 ERA against them in 10 career starts. Scherzer has been virtually unhittable in his last four starts where he owns a 1.05 ERA with 42 strike outs. The Reds are also just 23-55 in their last 78 on the road, including 4-10 behind Cueto vs. a winning team. The Reds are getting just 3.5 runs per game on the road and Washington 3.9 at home. Over the past 2.5 seasons, the Nats are 25-10 to the UNDER at home when facing an NL pitcher with an ERA below 3.0. Scherzer is too hot to handle right now, so take the Nationals and the UNDER here.
