The Cardinals did some damage in the first four games of their six-game tour through the AL, but got sloppy and dropped the last two. They should regain focus back at home again especially in a division game vs. the Reds. Chris Carpenter got off to a miserable start, but quality rises to the top, as he has delivered back-to-back starts allowing just a single run in each covering 16 innings. Carpenter is capable of getting on a serious roll, and it sure looks like he is on his way. It is hard to ignore the Cards’ 53-19 mark when he starts at home over his last 72. The Reds have not been able to get anything going, and have dropped six straight after a win. Ride with St. Louis.
