The Cincinnati Reds have won five straight games, and with Mat Latos on the mound they certainly look good coming into this one. While Latos has been strong, the Padres have gotten even better work out of Jesse Hahn. Hahn made his major league debut on June 3rd, and has since rattled off three straight wins. Hahn has allowed a grand total of 2 earned runs in the three wins, and has now recorded 27 strikeouts in just 22.2 innings of work this season. The Padres' offense is poor, but with Hahn on the hill the prospects are encouraging as San Diego is 29-16 when they hold the opponent to 3 runs or less. The Reds have hit bottom vs. a top pitcher as they are 2-7 in their last nine vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of 1.15 or less. I like the live home team in this one, so play on San Diego.
