The San Diego Padres were the surprise team in the National League last season and the Reds were right there with them. The Padres found balance both home and away for one reason. They had shutdown pitching and a bullpen that could hold a lead. It basically keeps them in virtually every game they play. The Reds were much better at home and have been ineffective with Wood on the mound at 1-6 in his last seven starts including 0-5 vs. the NL west. Stauffer has been the stopper for the Pods following a loss, where they are 7-2 in his last nine starts. I'm backing San Diego in this one.
