The Mets are crushing the ball and that doesn't bode well for Joe Mays who enters this game 0-4 with a 10.27 ERA. The Mets go with rookie Alay Soler who is going for his third straight win. Mays has lasted all but 3.9 innings per start in his six appearances as he gets shelled virtually every game. He's got a ridculous 2-17 record over the past two seasons as an underdog. The Mets are putting up 5.3 runs per game vs. right handed starters and 5.6 overall over their past seven games. Their bullpen is playing much better than Cincy's. New York has home field, momentum, hotter bats and better pitching. Mets in this one.
