Cincinnati at Los Angeles

This is the fourth straight road game out West for the Cincinnati Reds. They just lost two out of three at last-place Arizona, and the pitching staff has surrendered 43 runs the last six games (on a 2-5 run). The Angels have seen plenty of Cincy starter Dan Straily, who used to be with Oakland, and he is 1-3 with a 6.69 ERA in seven career starts against the Angels. The Reds are 17-37 in interleague games, including 14-38 in interleague road games. The Angels just finished up a 4-2 road trip during which they took apart pennant chasing Toronto and Detroit. Los Angeles had no trouble shutting down the powerful offenses of the Blue Jays and the Tigers with an average of three runs allowed on the trip, capped by Sunday’s 5-0 shutout in Detroit.
